Welcome to the Mid-Valley Community Police Council

The Mid-Valley Community Police Council comprises local business owners,  corporate and community stakeholders plus area residents who share a commitment to support the LAPD Van Nuys Area Police Station. MVCPC is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1978 by Sid Miller and a small group of proactive citizens who believed that crime prevention was everyone’s responsibility. The MVCPC is proud to have grown substantially over the years and continues its focus to raise funds for the Van Nuys Area Station;

  • Supplemental training
  • Special programs
  • Station improvements and equipmen

Guests at the 2018 Cops & Cowboys ‘20th Anniversary’ were treated to a terrific evening at the Leonis Adobe Museum in Calabasas. Perfect venue, great weather, Magnolia Drawl ’s music kept guests on the dance floor; the charming Dealer Dolls dealt the winning cards; Reel Brewery, Straussner & Sherman’s Bars and the Whisky Tasting flowed all night; we challenged a lot of people on the Mechanical Bull – most survived!; and of course Marshall’s Bodacious BBQ was as great as usual.

It was our honor to recognize LAPD Asst. Chief Bea Girmala (who was so gracious in her acceptance); Dr. Sean Leoni, and URW’s Fashion Square received our special Corporate Award for their ongoing support of the community. Mid-Valley Community Police Council thanks all of our sponsors, supporters, auction donors, and attendees for their generous support once again – see you all next year!
